Partners in Employment is dedicated to providing supported employment services to assist job seekers in defining and achieving their employment goals. We have an exciting opportunity for an individual work as a part of our Work Readiness team. This term position is responsible for coordinating the delivery of learning opportunities that lay a foundation for individuals to be successful in their job search and employment retention.

 

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Facilitate group and individual learning to develop personal, interpersonal and employability skills including work ethics, job search tools and techniques, and employer expectations.
  • Provide a stimulating and creative atmosphere for positive learning and growth in a group setting using a variety of delivery methods.
  • Maintain and adapt training materials and methods of delivery to align with individual client learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the supported employment team to facilitate client development and progress toward goal attainment.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report the progress of participants.
  • Complete administrative duties including file recordings, performance indicators, outcome measures, reports, attendance, and others as required.

 

Qualifications:

  • Degree in related human services field (e.g., Education, Sociology, Kinesiology, Psychology, Social Work, etc.) with minimum two years experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues pertaining to training and employment that people experiencing disability and/or barriers to employment may encounter, including supported employment models.
  • Experience with group facilitation of adult learners.
  • Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills, empowering people to build independence.
  • Effective written and verbal communication, problem solving, time management and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of, Labour Standards, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Counselling, and/or Job Coaching.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

 

Final Candidates are required to provide satisfactory criminal record checks including a vulnerable sector search.

Successful candidates are recommended to have an Auto Pak with at least 1 million dollars in liability insurance.
