Laura Lawrence is the founder of MindBody Balance, the HeartTalk Podcast and the CEO of Youth Matter Canada, a non-profit that supports mental health for youth and families. She has led mental health support initiatives for thousands of people of all ages and stages of life. Her work has earned her the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee medal (2023) and a YWCA Women of Distinction Award (2024) for her contributions to mental health.
Dina Bell-Laroche
Dina Bell-Laroche’s life changed dramatically in 2001 after the death of her youngest sister Tracy. Since then, her journey through grief has inspired her to advocate for a humanistic approach to grief and loss. As a death educator, Certified Thanatologist (CT), grief doula, keynote speaker, and published author, Dina Bell-Laroche’s commitment to help the bereaved re-imagine a new relationship with loss is unwavering. She activates this through trainings, workshops, speaking engagements, Grief Cafés, her weekly newsletter called The Grieving Place, and her book Grief Unleashed: Moving from the hole in our hearts to whole-hearted (2023). Dina Bell-Laroche completed a cross-country tour over 2023-24, hosting Grief Cafés, book signings and educational workshop to enhance the grief and loss literacy of hospice workers, caregivers, and helping professionals. Dina Bell-Laroche brings a hope-filled perspective to a topic that is too often dismissed, inviting participants to understand and honour their grief.
