Champions Campaign Raises $27,750 for Individuals Experiencing Disability in the Province!
The 2021 SaskAbilities Champions Campaign was a new fundraising initiative that raises much needed funds for programs and services offered by SaskAbilities across the province. These programs and services support individuals experiencing disability in Saskatchewan and aim to improve their quality of life. Some of these programs include Camp Easter Seal, Summer Fun, and Adaptive Technology.
Businesses and their employees championed SaskAbilities cause by gathering pledges and engaging in fundraising activities of their choosing for a two-month period commencing November 1, 2021, and was set to end on December 31,2021. We had such a generous uptake from our business partners, that our campaign continued to run into 2022 and we are excited to announce it’s close with a final total of $27,750!
Fundraisers ranged from LaRoche McDonald’s casual dress days to Western Cycle’s Fat Bike Poker Derby to Butler Byers’ selection of SaskAbilities as their Christmas Party Charity with multiple fundraisers going on that day. Other businesses chose to give us cash donations, and we are equally appreciative of them as well!
Our top five fundraisers were as follows:
- Butler Byers Insurance Ltd., Saskatoon, SK – $4,270
- Dakota Dunes CDC / Saskatoon Tribal Council, Saskatoon, SK – $4,000
- Long Lake Insurance, Strasbourg, SK – $2,475
- Aquifer Distribution Ltd., Saskatoon, SK – $2,000
- Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc., Meadow Lake, SK – $2,000

We would like to thank all our business partners for making this Campaign a successful one!
