Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM)
SaskAbilities brings inclusive hiring to the forefront with events and activities highlighting Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM) in October
October is Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM) in Canada, recognized nationally since 2010 and in Saskatchewan since 2011. DEAM highlights the importance of workplace diversity and inclusive hiring practices that create more employment opportunities for people experiencing disability. This month also fosters meaningful conversations around the collaborative efforts needed to promote inclusive hiring across communities and cities of all sizes throughout the province.
