National AccessAbility Week

National AccessAbility Week (NAAW)

SaskAbilities joins local and national government bodies, organizations, businesses, and individuals from coast to coast to celebrate the leadership and creative contributions of individuals experiencing disability across Canada. This week also serves as an opportunity to recognize the important work of organizations, businesses, and individuals who serve as allies, helping to remove barriers, promote inclusion, and enhance quality of life.

For over 70 years, SaskAbilities has been providing programs and services to people experiencing disability across the province. This week we celebrate the many clients we have the great honour of serving, while also reaffirming our commitment and effort in building inclusive communities for people of all abilities in Saskatchewan.

Easter Seals™ Red Shirt Day™

Since 2019, Easter Seals™ Canada has been recognizing the Wednesday of National AccessAbility Week as Red Shirt Day™. This meaningful initiative is a visible display of solidarity and collaboration as people from across Canada wear red to show their support and commitment to creating a fully accessible and inclusive society.

SaskAbilities invites you to take part in this year’s Red Shirt Day by wearing your favourite red shirt and inviting friends and family to do the same. Make sure to capture your visible commitment to building accessible and inclusive communities by snapping some photos and sharing them online with the hashtags #RedShirtDay #RedForAccessAbility
