SaskAbilities Concludes Year-Long 75th Anniversary Celebrations
SaskAbilities has concluded its year-long celebration marking 75 years of working together to build inclusive communities across the province. Launched on December 2, 2024, the anniversary year featured province-wide events and activities honouring the legacy of the founding families, meaningful impact stories of clients, and communities where SaskAbilities operates.
“Celebrating ‘75 Years Together’ allowed us to reflect on the vision and courage of the founding families and to celebrate the countless clients, staff, donors, supporters, and community partners who have all contributed to our growth and evolution,” shares Paul Blackstock, Board President. “We are grateful to everyone who helped bring this milestone to life and all those who continue to support SaskAbilities, carrying our vision and mission forward into the next 75 years.”
Highlights from the 75th anniversary year included:
- A travelling memorabilia exhibit tracing SaskAbilities’ history through the decades

The year of celebration concluded on a high note when the Government of Saskatchewan, along with the City of Regina, City of Saskatoon, City of Moose Jaw, and Town of Watrous, proclaimed December 2, 2025, as SaskAbilities Day. This formal recognition underscores the organization’s long-standing service and impact across the province.
As SaskAbilities reflects on this milestone with pride and gratitude, it also looks ahead with renewed commitment to building inclusive communities and enhancing the lives of individuals experiencing disability. Although the official anniversary events have concluded, the organization’s legacy of compassion, collaboration, and service continues.
