SaskAbilities / Easter Seals™ Saskatchewan launches the Paper Egg Campaign today!

Easter SealsTM Paper Egg Campaign – This Spring Make a Difference: April 1st to April 30th
This annual Easter campaign in Saskatchewan kicks off April 1st and runs until April 30th, 2021, although there are a handful of businesses doing the campaign in March or May as they are unable to participate in April. The Paper Egg Campaign is a national marketing, awareness, and fundraising campaign that benefits children, youth and adults living with disabilities through Paper Egg sales and displays.
How can you get involved?
Purchase a Paper Egg on-line/Make a donation, or visit one of the participating businesses listed below and donate to the 2021 Paper Egg Campaign. Due to COVID, some businesses are collecting donations only and not displaying Paper Eggs on the walls of their stores this year. You will still see our posters and will be able to scan a QR code to make a donation at those locations! For those that are, the business will write your name on the Paper Egg (with your permission of course) and display it in their establishment so others can see you support the community through donating to local non-profits. The accumulating Paper Eggs are a public display of community involvement and support. All money raised in Saskatchewan stays in the province and benefits Camp Easter Seal, Summer Fun urban day camp, and supports Adaptive Technology Services.
Due to safety concerns related to COVID-19, we will not be hosting “regular”, in-person camp programming in the summer of 2021. Instead, SaskAbilities and CAMP EASTER SEAL is excited to announce Camp Connected, an online, virtual program open to all Saskatchewan residents experiencing disability. While still physically apart, we will continue to belong to this special community and enjoy each other’s company.
SUMMER FUN is a recreational day camping program, operated during July and August, for children and youth aged 6 to 22. The program fosters community inclusion, social skill development, and increases confidence and self-esteem in program participants. The rewards of laughter, play, and learning are immeasurable! In 2020, Summer Fun was up and running as a virtual program and we are prepared to maintain the program virtually in 2021 as well.
From voice-activated software to eye gaze-technology, ADAPTIVE TECHNOLOGY SERVICES is dedicated to applying electronics and computers to aid in communication, improve quality of life, and increase independence for individuals. Adaptive Technology has a life-changing effect on the lives of people experiencing disability.
